Manatee County Natural Resources Department hosts photography contest

The winners will be featured in a gallery at Robinson Preserve.

Manatee County Natural Resources Department is sending out the word for its second annual photography contest.

The department invites county residents to submit photos they’ve taken at Manatee County preserves to compete to be on a gallery display in the Valentine House at Robinson Preserve, according to a Facebook post on the department's account.

There will be winners for each of the preserves in three categories: landscape, wildlife and people (visitors enjoying their experience at the preserve).

Contestants can submit up to 10 digital entries until Monday, Feb. 29.

Entries must be provided as a JPEG and taken with a camera, not on a cell phone.
