A 28-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing his roommate while staying at an East County hotel in the 600 block of 67th Street Cir. E., Bradenton.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Hugo Orona today and charged him with aggravated battery for stabbing his roommate, 25-year-old Nader Yousef, late Monday night.

A sheriff’s office report states the two were staying at the hotel while they work in Bradenton. Hugor was drinking heavily and was advised twice by hotel staff to quiet down. After the second warning, Nader asked Hugor to be quiet because he was afraid of being kicked out of the hotel.

Hugor became angry, walked over to Nader, pulled out a knife and started swinging at him. Nader sustained one laceration to his arm and one to his stomach.

Nader escaped the hotel room but was caught by police today.
