Two puppies have found a home after being rescued by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office last week.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office received a call last week from a resident who saw the pups on the side of the road. Deputies from Squad 5 East responded, and found the pups wandering around in a neighborhood near the 2500 block of 34th Avenue East. Since it was early in the morning, one of the deputies, Matt Kenyan, kept the puppies at his home until Manatee County Animal Services was able to take them in.

The pups, determined to be hound mixes no more than 4 months old, were transferred to a rescue and will be adopted out from there. The rescue declined to be named.
