GAME OF THE WEEK

Sept. 25

Riverview vs. Palm Harbor

Coming off a disappointing loss to Lutz Steinbrenner in its Class 8A-District 6 opener last week, Riverview returns home Friday night to face Palm Harbor in its second district game of the season.

The Rams had a 14-10 lead early in the third quarter against Steinbrenner, but were unable to sustain a strong second-half surge by the Warriors. Riverview will look for its first win of the season against a Palm Harbor team that is off to a 3-0 start this season, including a 41-38 district victory versus Lithia Newsome last week.

The two teams went down to the wire last season with Palm Harbor etching out a 42-41 victory. Riverview will looks to running back Ali Boyce, who has rushed for more than 100 yards in three of the Rams’ four games and has scored seven touchdowns, to help carry the Rams into the win column and keep them in the district conversation.
