Sarasota High 5 Moments: 11.12.15

1 — Cardinal Mooney’s Matthew Garcia earned All-American status, finishing second in the 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle at the Class 1A Swimming and Diving Championships Nov. 6, in Stuart. 

2 — The Riverview High boys and girls swim teams both captured first-place finishes at the Class 4A-Region 2 Swimming and Diving Championships Nov. 7. 

3 — Filip Svoboda and Tyler Wenger each recorded a hat trick to lead The Out-of-Door Academy boys soccer team to an 8-0 victory versus Sarasota Christian Nov. 9. 

4 — Alex Turner scored four goals to lead the Cardinal Mooney boys soccer team to a 6-0 victory versus Sarasota in its season opener Nov. 3. 

5 — The Riverview High boys soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-1 victory against Sarasota Military Academy Nov. 5.
