University Parkway will be home to a new Baja-style Mexican restaurant later this summer.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, a national chain that originated in Fort Worth, Texas, is coming to Florida with 20 new stores, including one at 2515 University Parkway, near U.S. 301.

The new sit-down, “fast-casual” spot is set to open in July, but Dave Hunt, the franchisee for the Sarasota area, said in a press release he plans to open two to three additional locations in Sarasota and Manatee Counties in 2016.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop also has locations in Tampa, Fort Myers and Orlando set to open this year.

The first restaurant in Texas opened in 2003, and the chain now has 78 stores in 10 states. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Sarasota location will include a bar with cocktails, margaritas, beer and wine. The chain’s specialty is a Baja-styled taco with a house garlic and feta cheese sauce.
