SMR vice president heads to Brevard County

Todd Pokrywa, who served vice president of strategic affairs/planning for Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch since 2003, has joined The Viera Co. in Brevard County.

Pokrwya starts as Viera's senior vice president of land-use planning and development Oct. 1.

"Todd brings a wealth of experience in community development," says Stephen Johnson, president of Viera. "His hands-on expereince as well as his professional commitment to urban and regional planning will be of great value to us as we continue to achieve the vision for Viera."

During his time with SMR, Pokrywa played a key role in the development of Lakewood Ranch, helping secure approvals for developments such as The Villages, in Sarasota, and other projects in Lakewood Ranch.
