WEEKEND BEST BET: Mixon Fruit Farms' Harvest Festival

This weekend, Bradenton's Mixon Fruit Farms hosts its annual Harvest Festival to ring in the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Spanning from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 24, the local farm will transform into a musical venue, with pony rides, $8 zip lining, bungee jumping, and a variety of other activities for thrill- seekers and families.

Throughout the day, musicians and dancers will perform for patrons, in addition to trampoline and other circus-themed acts that will be peppered throughout the day.

Munching options will also be in abunadance, from pizza to philly cheesesteaks.

Parking is free. Admission is $3 or two for $5 for adults, children 14 and under are free.
