Ranch YMCA celebrates grand re-opening weekend

YMCA officials have been working on expanding the existing facility for several years.

The Lakewood Ranch YMCA this weekend is holding a grand re-opening as it celebrates completion of an expansion to its facilities.

Following a grand re-opening ceremony Thursday, the YMCA now will host several other events, including "Fitness Friday" from 4 to 7 p.m. today; "Teen Challenge" from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday; and "Y Pool Party" from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Lakewood Ranch YMCA is located at 5100 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
