Students from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine conducted free sports physicals on athletes from Lakewood Ranch High School July 26.

Two years ago, the school had no physicians group to conduct sports physicals at the school for athletes because the company that had previously conducted the work was not available.

A parent contacted LECOM about assisting, birthing the new partnership this year.
