Members of the Siesta Key Village Association will get an update tomorrow about the money Sarasota County owes Village merchants for upkeep of the commercial district while the county searched for a company to take over the responsibility.

The Siesta Key Village Maintenance Corp., which was established last year after JWM Management did not renew its contract for Village upkeep, spent more than $5,000 on accounting and establishment costs. The Sarasota County Commission voted in favor of reimbursing the Siesta Key Village Association nearly $3,000 at an April 11 regular meeting.

As of the most recent SKVA meeting June 5, the organization had not been reimbursed.

Other topics on the agenda for the July 3 meeting include the Siesta Key north bridge rehabilitation project, Village advertising, the Siesta Key Crystal Classic, and the Light up the Village Holiday Parade.
