Garden Club hosts annual home and garden tour

HGTV has nothing on the Longboat Key Garden Club’s 36th annual Home and Garden Tour. On Saturday, March 3, tour-goers will see expertly decorated homes with unique furniture pieces, private art collections and stunning views.

The variety of homes featured on this year’s tour range from a home so eye-catching that cars on Gulf of Mexico Drive surely slow to catch a glance; a charming fishing-village home that produces a tranquil feeling upon entering; to an architecturally stunning ’60s-inspired home preserved to keep the charm of the era.

Julie Trigg, former curator for the Sho Fu Bonsai collection at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, will act as the Boutique de Maisons exhibitor and will present bonsai plants, techniques and tips at one of the homes. Also at each home, raffle tickets may be purchased to support scholarship and community projects.
