Vehicles burglarized in Miramar

Several residents in the Miramar community awoke today to find their vehicles had been burglarized.

A Manatee County Sheriff's office report states several vehicles were broken into on Miramar Way Monday night.

Two GPS units, a CD player and 10 CDs were taken from the three vehicles that were issued case numbers. The report states another five residents reported their vehicles also had been burglarized, but nothing was taken and they declined to file a report.

Residents said they did not lock their doors because they felt safe in their neighborhood, which is gated.
