The Goodwill's Tara Bookstore will be promoting literacy while offering rare, out-of-print books for purchased during the store's third annual Bookapalooza event.

The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the bookstore, 7200 55th Avenue East, Bradenton.
“Our annual Bookapalooza event is a great time for book lovers to purchase valuable books at a fantastic value”, said LuAnne Kirschner, director of PR/Communications for Goodwill Manasota. “We receive rare books, out of print books, signed books and new releases on a consistent basis.”

Kirschner said a signed, limited edition of "Master of the Bouquet" and two signed editions of "Ansel Adams Photography," are among the unique titles available this year.

The day of the event, visitors will enjoy 25% off all books, special 50 cent and $1 books, a chance to win a $25 gift certificate, balloons for children and refreshments. Proceeds will support Goodwill's various mission services, including job placement and training for people with disabilities.
