+ HBA announces 2012 Parade of Homes winners
The Home Builders Association Manatee-Sarasota announced recently winners of the 2012 Parade of Homes, which ran Feb. 16 through March 4.

Sixty builder models, three featured developments and one remodeler entry participated in the competition, for which judging occurred Feb. 18.

The winners include:
• Single Family Category 1: Neal Communities’ Freedom 2 at Lakewood Ranch for best floor plan, architectural detail.

• Single Family Category 2: Gibraltar Homes’ The Sandpiper at Bougainvillea Place for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floorplan, architectural design and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 3:
Bruce Williams Homes’ Tidewater at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal; and Medallion Home’s Aruba at Gamble Creek for best kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 4: Neal Communities’ Starlight at Woodbrook for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 5: Lennar Homes’ Tivoli at Stoneybrook at Venice and Medallion Home’s Barbados at Stonewalk Preserve for best curb appeal (tie); Medallion Home’s Barbados at Stonewalk Preserve for best kitchen, master suite and floor plan; Medallion Home’s St. John at Country Meadows for best architectural detail; and Medallion Home’s Barbados at Stonewalk Preserve for overall winner.

• Single Family Category 6: Neal Communities’ Stonebridge at Sawgrass and Windsong at Lakewood Ranch for best master suite (tie); Neal Communities’ Stonebridge at Sawgrass and David Weekley Homes’ The Huntley at Imperial Lakewoods for best floor plan (tie); Neal Communities’ Stonebridge at Sawgrass for best curb appeal, kitchen, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 7: Medallion Home’s Havana at Riva Trace for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 8: Lee Wetherington Homes’ Sarezzo II at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal; Lee Wetherington Homes’ Sarezzo II at Lakewood Ranch and Taylor Morrison’s Lazio at Lakewood Ranch for best kitchen (tie) and best architectural detail (tie); Medallion Home’s Santa Maria at The Inlets for best floor plan; Taylor Morrison’s Lazio at Lakewood Ranch for best master suite; and Lee Wetherington Homes’ Sarezzo II at Lakewood Ranch for overall winner.

• Single Family Category 9: Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Nelson Homes’ Bardmoor at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 10: Cardel Homes’ Dolcetto at Lakewood Ranch for best architectural detail; and John Cannon Homes’ The Tauri at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 11: Paradise Homes of Sarasota’s St. William at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal, kitchen and master suite; Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Nelson Homes’ Bermuda at Lakewood Ranch for best floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 12: Lee Wetherington Homes’ Murano at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal; and Allegra Homes’ Michael the Great for best kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 13: Neal Signature Homes’ Westover II at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal and kitchen; London Bay Homes’ Isabella at The Founders Club for best architectural detail; and Arthur Rutenberg Homes’ The Martinique at The Inlets for best master suite, floor plan and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 14: John Cannon Homes’ The Akarra at Lakewood Ranch for best master suite; Paradise Homes of Sarasota’s St. Martin at Lakewood Ranch for best floor plan; and Todd Johnston Homes’ Datura for best curb appeal, kitchen, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 15: Todd Johnston Homes’ The Turnberry at The Founders Club for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

• Single Family Category 16: London Bay Homes’ Alezio at Lakewood Ranch for best curb appeal, kitchen, master suite, floor plan, architectural detail and overall winner.

+ East County hair studio completes redesign
Saundra D’s Hair Design celebrated its grand reopening March 31, following the completion of a redesign project.

Saundra D’s was originally located in Pittsburgh, Pa., for 10 years before relocating three-and-one-half years ago to Bradenton. The studio is located at 8754 S.R. 70 E.
