Cain campaign stops in Bradenton

Presidential hopeful Herman Cain had planned to make the first stop of his Florida Bus Tour at Mixon Fruit Farms today, but instead sent his campaign staff ahead as he stayed home recovering from the flu.

Cain spoke to the hundreds of people gathered at Mixon pavilion through audio his staff recorded this morning before their departure. He also watched the event, hosted by Tea Party Manatee and the Sarasota Republican Club, through Mixon's webcam system.

Cain campaign officials believe Cain will be able to get back on the tour later this week, and he plans to be in good health by Thursday's GOP Presidential Debate in Tampa.
