VIDEO: Pioneer Day Fish Fry

What do you like better — grouper or mullet? If you attended the Longboat Key Historical Society's Pioneer Day Fish Fry Oct. 21, at Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant and Pub, you were probably asked some variation of that question.

According to Tom Mayers, president of the Historical Society, the event was a fundraiser for the Longboat Key Historical Society and was held in memory of the fish fries of the Longboat Key volunteer fire department in the '50s.
