Shot fired at Lighthouse Cove home

A Lighthouse Cove resident is uninjured after a gun was shot into her home early Saturday morning.

A Manatee County Sheriff's Office report states a single gunshot was fired between 1-2 a.m. Oct. 8 at a residence in the 7000 block of Chatum Light Run in Lighthouse Cove at Heritage Sound in the Heritage Harbour community.

The projectile entered a vacant bedroom by traveling through the window and through the bedroom wall and into the closet. The resident of the home was present during the incident, but there were no injuries.
