Burglars target closed Ranch restaurant

Burglars broke into a closed restaurant in Lakewood Ranch and stole about $27,000 in appliances.

According to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report, sometime between May 20 and June 1, unknown suspect(s) entered Stingray's Grill, 6260 Lake Osprey Drive, by prying open the back door. Once inside, the suspect(s) took the appliances from the business and fled in an unknown direction.

Because the business being in foreclosure, the alarm system has not been used for some time.
