Ranch Humane Society opens boutique

Volunteers and board members of the Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch on Friday celebrated the grand opening of the organization's new consignment boutique.

Called Second Chance Boutique, the high-end shop is located in the Lake Osprey Plaza shopping center, and offers clothing, accessories and other items on consignment. Proceeds benefit the organization's operating costs.

A special grand opening lasted from 11 a.m. to midnight, July 22, with a ribbon-cutting event at 4 p.m.
