Temple Sinai members cast away sins

More than 70 members of Temple Sinai recently met at Turtle Beach to observe the ancient custom of Tachlich, when Jews throw bread into moving waters to cast away their sins of the past year — a traditional Jewish observance of Rosh Hashanah.

A potluck picnic with singing and other celebration festivities followed in the pavilion.
