Key Real Estate: En Provence unit sells for $2.7 million

Kenneth and Patricia Biller, of Verona, Wis., sold Unit 4 in Building 2 of En Provence, located in the 2100 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Gregory and Christine Parseghian, of McLean, Va., for $2,689,800. The 3,800-square-foot residence was built in 2002 with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The unit last sold for $2.3 million in July 2005.

The sale was the largest transaction recorded on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses during the recording week of June 1 through June 4, which was shortened because of the Memorial Day holiday. Sales fell from 10 during the last week of May to just four during the first week in June. All of the week’s sales took place on Longboat Key, including one on the northern, Manatee County side of the island.

Grand Bay
Franklin Cona and his wife, Mary Ann Fair, of Longboat Key, sold Unit 445 at the 272-unit Grand Bay, 3010 Grand Bay Blvd., located behind the Harbourside gates of the Longboat Key Club and Resort, to Marvin and Marsha Frank for $884,000. Built in 1999, the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath unit has 2,143 square feet of living space. It last sold for $940,000 in May 2003.

Beachplace
Virginia and John Peacock, of Lakeland, sold Unit 301 at the 336-unit Beachplace, 1085 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Jeffry and Shaena MacSween, of Rothesay, Canada, for $384,500. The two-bedroom, two-bath condominium was built in 1981 with 1,172 square feet of living space. The unit last sold for $180,000 in January 1983.

Spanish Main Yacht Club
Cindy Bonsignori, 869 Spanish Drive N., and John and Grace DiNello, of Sebastian, sold the home at 829 Spanish Drive N. in the 212-unit Spanish Main Yacht Club, located in the 5700 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Vivian Wenzel, of Huntington, N.Y., for $199,900. Built in 1969, the two-bedroom, two-bath condominium has 1,393 square feet of living space. The home last sold for $400,000 in December 2005.
