The Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key collected 2,218 pounds of food during its recent food-pantry drive, which benefited All Faiths Food Bank. Kiwanis volunteers placed collection receptacles in more than 24 locations, including business and condominiums. Snowbirds leaving for the summer were especially encouraged to donate their leftover non-perishable food items.

Project Chairman Steve McGee said past President Vince DeLisi and incoming President Tom Michel and his son, Devlin, were instrumental in the project’s success.
