Employees at Pattigeorge’s restaurant on Longboat Key celebrated Earth Day by planting new herb-and-vegetable gardens. The herb garden has dill, cilantro, rosemary, parsley, fennel and mint, all to be used in the restaurant’s kitchen. Tomatoes, peppers and white eggplant are featured in the vegetable garden.

The staff also spent time tending to the restaurant’s exotic black bamboo and orchid collection. All thrive with the addition of freshly-turned horse manure from proprietors Jaymie and Tommy Klauber’s horses.
