FRIDAY, MARCH 27

Tattoo Fest — takes place Thursday through Sunday at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. $20 single day; $45 for the weekend.

This annual event features four days of tattoos, celebrity guests, parties, a “Miss Tattoo Fest” competition and more.

Check out the artists, make an appointment and mingle with industry professionals and fellow ink enthusiasts.

+Whiskey Obsession Festival — takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Michael's On East. $100.

This third annual event is one of the largest whiskey shows in Florida and features samplings from around the world. Guests can sample more than 200 spirits and interact with distillers, international brand ambassadors, importers, brand managers and industry professionals. 


SATURDAY, MARCH 28

+ The Beer Mile — takes place at 3 p.m. at Mr. Beery’s. $20.

The concept is simple: Chug a beer; run a quarter-mile; repeat until you’ve run a mile.

Cost includes admission, the four in-race beers, a post-race beer and a T-shirt. Awards for fastest male, fastest female, best costume and first to throw up.

Sarasota Chillounge: Cirque du Chill — takes place at 7 p.m. at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. $25.

Chillounge Night is teaming up with The Circus Arts Conservatory and Nock Productions to present Cirque du Chill.

This one-of-a-kind event will feature spectacular entertainment by world-renowned circus artists and will benefit Selby Gardens.


SUNDAY, MARCH 29

Gospel Brunch — takes place at 11:30 a.m. at The Blue Rooster. $24.95 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and younger, and free for kids younger than 6.

Stop in after church for authentic Southern comfort food and live gospel, plus traditional and contemporary spirituals.

Reservations recommended.
