EAST COUNTY — Construction on model homes at Muirfield Village at Honore will begin by the end of this month.

Developer Peach Willow LLC in April submitted plans to Sarasota County for the multifamily project, which calls for 60 town homes on nine acres at 59th Street and Honore Avenue.

Peach Willow, a North Port-based company, is partnering with Safety Harbor-based Barclay Group to develop the project.

A representative from M/I homes, the builder in charge of vertical construction at Muirfield Village, said construction on model homes should be finished in April.

The town homes will range in size from 1,580 to 2,168 square feet, said Doug Whitford, Internet sales manager for M/I Homes of Tampa.

Each home will have two stories with living space on the first floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Homes will have kitchens with granite countertops and tiled roofs.

They also will feature a one- or two-car garage, depending on the floor plan.

Whitford said because of the community’s small size, it will not have amenities.

There will be no pool, clubhouse or gate, meaning homeowners association fees should be low, Whitford noted.

Whitford said it is too early to predict a start date for sales.

Home prices are still to be determined.
