A bus isn’t just for transporting people anymore.

You can help feed the hungry this holiday season by volunteering your time or resources to the sixth annual Stuff the Bus campaign.

Manatee County School District and Publix Super Markets will host the sixth annual “Stuff the Bus” Nov. 22 through Nov. 23. Organizers hope to collect 150,000 pounds of food.

Individuals can donate food items at Publix locations throughout Manatee County those days. Food collected will go to The Food Bank of Manatee.

The school district also is teaming up with United Way of Manatee County, Tropicana and FM radio stations 106.5 CTZ and 92.1 The Coast to put on the event.

Volunteers are needed.
