Starbucks has plans for new East County location

East County is getting a Starbucks.

The company will open a new location at 4220 53rd Ave. E., in the commercial plaza at the southwest corner of State Road 70 and Lockwood Ridge Road.

Benderson Development, owner of the Paley Place shopping center, has submitted plans to construct a roughly 2,000-square-foot Starbucks in a multi-tenant building planned for the property.

A Starbucks spokesman confirmed the company’s plans and said the company always looks find locations that satisfy customer demands.

The store is expected to open later this winter, he said.
