+ Thunder’s rally comes up short
After remaining scoreless for three quarters, The Out-of-Door Academy rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdowns but fell short to St. John Neaumann 19-14 Sept. 23.

Trailing 19-0, Thunder quarterback Evan Wilson connected with Jimmy Donnellan for a 31-yard touchdown to put ODA on the board.

ODA (3-1) blocked a punt later in the quarter, and the Thunder capitalized when Wilson connected with Fred Porter for a 15-yard touchdown.

ODA returns to action at 7 p.m. Sept. 30, versus district rival Evangelical Christian.

+ Mustangs finish fourth at Tarpon Invitational
The Lakewood Ranch girls and boys swim teams both finished fourth in team scoring at the Tarpon Invitational Sept. 24.

Danielle Valley finished first in the 500-meter freestyle and second in the 200 freestyle. Will Kazokas won the 100 butterfly and finished second in the 100 backstroke. The girls 200 medley and 200 freestyle took third place, and the 400 freestyle relays finished second. The boys 400 freestyle relay finished third.
