+ ODA girls sweep Imagine School
The Out-of-Door Academy girls soccer team blanked Imagine High School 8-0 Nov. 21.

Abby Lagasse scored a hat trick and added two assists to lead the Lady Thunder to a district victory. Katie Lang and Lexi Murphy each scored two goals and had two assists.

Emily Camire also scored a goal. Annika Lang and Abby Bannar each were credited with an assist. Bannar and Izzy Eichenbaum combined for the shutout.

+ Lady Cougars shutout Lady Eagles
The Cardinal Mooney High girls soccer team improved to 6-3 with an 8-0 victory over Sarasota Military Academy Nov. 21.

Skylar Jungers scored a pair of goals to lead the way for the Lady Cougars. Gabby Ojeda, Sarah Nelson, Courtney Lynn, Jill Bolk, Anna Brusco and Lauren Ravazzoli each scored a goal for Cardinal Mooney.

+ Out-of-Door edges St. Pete Canterbury
The Out-of-Door Academy girls basketball team held on to defeat St. Petersburg Canterbury 19-11 Nov. 20.

Lisa Hoffman scored eight points to lead the way for the Lady Thunder.

+ Cardinal Mooney Cougars fall in opener
The Cardinal Mooney High boys basketball team fell to North Port 54-48 in its season opener Nov. 20.
Ryan McMahon scored 17 points to lead the way for Cardinal Mooney. Justin Najmy added 12 points.

+ Braden River Pirates win season opener
After falling to Sarasota Christian in preseason action, the Braden River High boys basketball team opened its season with a 55-44 victory over the Blazers Nov. 19.

Zechariah Kendall led the way for the Pirates with 14 points. Ryan Owsianka contributed 13 points. Michael Braxton finished with 10 points.

Lakewood Ranch High Boys Basketball
The Lakewood Ranch High boys basketball team opened its season with a 65-45 victory over Seminole Osceola Nov. 19.

Justin Otis powered the Mustangs with 13 points and four rebounds. Josh Rountree had 10 points and four rebounds. Sam Hester added nine points, and Devin Twenty had 10 points. Chad Rex contributed six points and four steals.
