On Tuesday, May 24, Longboat Key resident Julie Klick was in her backyard with her dog, when she felt a pair of eyes staring at her. It turns out, those eyes belonged to an alligator that swam up the Bay Isles canal. None of Klick’s neighbors had spotted the alligator before, but Klick reports that town officials didn’t seem surprised at the visitor. We’re pretty sure that Bay Isles residents don’t want to see this alligator later.
