Gov. Rick Scott’s proposed 2015-16 budget includes funding for Longboat Key beach projects.
The proposed budget includes $1,598,463 for Longboat Key beach nourishment and $4,963,900 for Longboat Pass Inlet Management Plan implementation.
Both items are part of $25 million Scott allocated for beach renourishment in the upcoming budget.
The state’s new fiscal year begins July 1.
