School district hosts business community

The Manatee County School District is hosting a Bradenton Area Workforce Ready event Tuesday meant to determine employer needs and match them with student skills. 

Local business officials, Manatee County Commissioner Carol Whitmore and other city and county officials will attend the 1:30 p.m. event at 215 Manatee Avenue West. 

Tuesday’s event, focused on educating the business community about the district’s career and technical education, is the first this school year. Braden Area Workforce Ready events will occur quarterly from here on out.
