Kids Summer Beach Runs
Starts at 5:30 p.m. at Siesta Key Beach, 948 Beach Road. The Kids' Summer Beach Runs are offered every week this summer. The one-mile runs start promptly at 6:30 p.m. A one-time registration fee of $1 lets children participate in beach runs for the entire summer. Grief and Loss Issues
Runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Friendship Center in Sarasota. The Friendship Center for Aging Studies will offer “Grief and Loss Issues: A Biopsychosocial Perspective in Older Adults” and will take place Fridays June 10-17. The course will focus on the importance of identifying and helping older adults work through the various tasks of grief. The course fee is $299 and includes a light breakfast that will be provided.
