Fall Family Festival
Runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bay Preserve, 400 Palmetto Ave., Osprey. Enjoy a day on the shores of Little Sarasota Bay.The will day include old-fashioned games, arts and crafts, a fire truck, face painting, water conservation activities, live music and dip net fishing. Ferrari’s at St. Armands Circle

Giving Hunger the Blues
Runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Southside Village, Hillview Street. The music and street festival will include two stages with live music, dance performances, martial arts demos, local vendors and more. Goldie Feldman Academy Open House Extravaganza
Runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Goldie Feldman Academy, 1050 Tuttle Ave. Families seeking a program for children in preschool through eighth grade are welcome to drop by to take a tour. Sarasota Veterans Day Parade
Starts at 10 a.m. in downtown Sarasota, Main Street from Osprey to Gulfstream Avenue. Salute local vets during the Sarasota Veterans' Day Parade. The parade starts at Osprey and U.S. 301 at 10 a.m. and proceeds down Main Street to J. D. Hamel Park on Gulfstream, where a ceremony will be held at approximately 11 a.m. Sponsored by the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee.

A Taste of Gulf Gate
Runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gulf Gate Library, 7112 Curtiss Ave. More than 20 local restaurants will be on hand offering tastings. There will also be live music, a silent auction and a mystery gift tree. Tickets are $20 at the Gulf Gate Library bookstore. Visit friendsofgulfgatelibrary.org

Jazz at Two

Sarasota Medieval Fair
Runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sarasota County Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd. The fair features jousting, human combat chess tournaments, rides and games, along with food and drink. There's also Celtic music and the new artisan marketplace with more than 100 shops, food, and snack booths plus 11 stages holding more than 75 shows daily. Latin Dance Night
Runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road. The Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood and Sisterhood are hosting their first Latin Dance night. The evening will include performances and instruction from the Dynasty Dance Club of Sarasota. Food will be provided by the Peruvian Grill of Sarasota.
