Run organizers send good 'vibes' to Lakewood Ranch

The Color Vibe event is different from The Color 5K, which was a no-show at Premier Sports Campus in November 2016.

If you head to Premier Sports Campus, in Lakewood Ranch, April 1, you are bound to be splattered with colorful chalk.

The campus will host The Color Vibe 5K event, which starts at 9 a.m.

The run is not the same as the 5K Color Fest planned at Premier in November 2016. Organizers of that event never showed up, leaving its patrons at a loss.

Color Vibe organizers anticipate about 2,000 participants, with a portion of proceeds benefiting The Florida Center For Early Childhood. Staff is working to correct an online error related to the event address, which is Premier Sports Campus, 5895 Post Blvd., Lakewood Ranch.
