Enjoy the forecasted sunshine and warm weather on Longboat Key tomorrow, March 7, with two annual events — St. Mary Rummage Sale and the Garden Club Home Tour.

The Royal Rummage Sale at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, annually brings in more than 500 people and raises between $27,000 and $34,000.

The event sells “rummage” ranging from kitchen supplies and decorations to clothing, books and furniture.

The event is organized by the church’s Women’s Guild, and all proceeds will benefit local charities.

If you go:

When: Saturday March 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive

Cost is free.

There will be a preview of the event on March 6 from 12 to 4 p.m., which costs $5.

Call 383-1255.

The Longboat Key Garden Club’s 39th annual Home Tour will highlight six unique and prominent residences on the key, from Country Club Shores up to Longbeach Village.

Each home has distinctive architectural style and design. One home was built to look like a French cheateau, one was designed to have a jungle-like feel and another was created to resemble a cruise ship. None of the six homes have ever been open to the public.

The event will raise money for the Garden Club’s programs and scholarships. Tickets are tax deductible and are available at Exit Art locations, Design 2000, LBK Chamber of Commerce and at each home on the day of the event.

If you go:

When: Saturday March 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Various Key homes

Cost is $25
