Sarasota resident Janice Smyth is a semifinalist for the 2014 AQS QuiltWeek International Quilt Show in March. Smyth has been chosen to display her quilt, “Mystery Decimals,” at the quilt show held in Lancaster, Penn. “I tried to take something complicated, like decimals, and use it in a simplistic form.” Regardless of how “Mystery Decimals” does in judging, it will be on display at the show, which is expected to draw more than 15,000 people.
