+ Quilters stitch together colorful comfort
Every Monday, several women meet at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church for a morning of cutting and stitching. Their goal is to make quilts for the Lutheran World Relief. At the church’s Feb. 7 service, the results of their industry were displayed. More than 100 colorful quilts were draped over pews and displayed in the Fellowship Room. The leader of the quilters is Iris Witham, who has completed more than 60 quilts. Through the World Relief program, the quilts are distributed wherever needed in the world.
