Sarasota Police arrested a convicted felon suspected of dealing cocaine after executing a search warrant Wednesday.

Officers with the Street Crimes Unit, Narcotics Unit and SWAT found more than 35 grams of cocaine, $595 in cash and a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson home on the 1400 block of 19th Street, before arresting 26-year-old Jeremy Cray. Twelve grams of cocaine had been packaged into 41 small bags, while officers found nine grams of crack cocaine in an Aleve bottle, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Cray had six past felony convictions, and is now facing charges for armed trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon and violation of probation. Cray was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine, and led officers on a high-speed chase last year.
