Observer Group wins five SNA prizes

+ Observer Group wins five SNA prizes
The Observer Group made some headlines of its own last week, winning five awards in the Suburban Newspapers of America’s editorial contest. The Observer Group’s Black Tie section (now named “Diversions”) competed in Class D, the more than 36,000 non-daily category, and won first place in the “Best Entertainment/Lifestyle Section.” Competing in Class B for non-dailies with a circulation between 8,001 and 16,000, the Longboat Observer won second place in the “Best Headline” category for the headline “On golf course, Clinton takes shots at right”; second place in the “Best Front Page” category; and third place in the “Best Continuing Coverage” category for its coverage of the Longboat Key Club and Resort. The East County Observer won second place in Class C for non-dailies with a circulation of between 16,001 and 36,000 for the “Best Front Page.”
