The two-time defending state champion Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team finished third in the West Orange Preseason Invitational Aug. 24.

The Mustangs fired a 152 to finish behind Lake Mary (140) and West Orange (142) in the rain-shortened event.

Senior Ramsey Touchberry led the way for Lakewood with an even par 36. Senior Danny Walker and sophomore Charlie Sun both fired a 38. Freshman Louie DelFabro added a 40.

The Mustangs open the regular season versus Braden River, Manatee, Sarasota and Bradenton Christian Thursday at Rosedale Golf & Country Club.
