+ Musical season
A group of East County freelance musicians gathered Nov. 21, in front of Publix on Market Street, in Lakewood Ranch, to help raise funds for the Salvation Army.

From 4 to 6 p.m., the musicians, wearing matching red shirts, played the trumpet, saxophone, keyboard and other instruments for customers as they walked in and out of Publix.

The event has become an annual tradition during the holidays.
