Local business to give away three $1,700 washer and dryer sets

East County-based Home-Tech is seeking nominations for a washer and dryer giveaway it is conducting.

As part of its "Santa Suds Giveaway," Home-Tech will be giving away three new Whirlpool high-efficiency washer and dryer sets, valued at $1,700 each, to three local families who have a need for a new washer/dryer set, but cannot afford one. Nominations are being accepted through Dec. 12.

Individuals can nominate candidates who live in either Sarasota or Manatee county online at www.home-tech.com/index.php/santasuds. The nomination process includes a brief 100-word-or-less summary on why the nominee is a deserving candidate.
