LAX players named All-Americans

Cardinal Mooney High lacrosse senior goalkeeper Victoria Krupa was named to the 2013 US Lacrosse Girls High School All-American first team May 8.

Krupa was one of 17 players from across Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Central Texas to be named a first-team All-American.

To be deemed an All-American, players must exhibit superior lacrosse skills and techniques, excellent sportsmanship and possess exceptional game sense and knowledge.

Sophomore Bridget Walsh and senior Haley McCurdy received Honorable Mention. Seniors Nina Bracciano, Kelly Nicholson, Lauren Telford, Krupa and McCurdy all were named to the All-Academic team.

Krupa also received the Jackie Pitts Award, which is awarded to a senior who truly honors lacrosse, is invested in the development of the game in her community, is an exceptional player strives to improve her game and is an important member of her team.
