Lakewood Ranch boys win regional title

The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team shot a combined 2-under par to win the Class 2A-Region 5 Championship for the second year in a row.

The Mustangs won by 11 shots to improve their record to 88-0.

Ramsey Touchberry shot 69 to finish as the individual runner up. Connor Baldwin and Danny Walker both shot 72 to finish fifth and sixth. Kyle Benson (73) and Hunter Sagar (75) rounded out the scoring for Lakewood.

The Mustangs will compete in the Class 2A state finals Nov. 1-2 at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills.
