Jaleski announces commission run

Longbeach Village resident Gene Jaleski announced he will file for District 5 Commissioner Pat Zunz’ commission seat this week. Zunz has not announced whether she will seek re-election for another two-year term.

Jaleski’s announcement is the second commission candidate announcement in the last week.

Armando Linde announced Oct. 4 he will run for the District 1 commission seat being vacated by Lynn Larson.

Other seats that are up for election this year are the District 3 seat held by Vice Mayor Terry Gans and the At-Large seat held by Commissioner Irwin Pastor.

Gans, Zunz and Pastor are all eligible for additional two-year terms.
