Hurricanes roll past Mustangs in regular season finale

The Lakewood Ranch High football team turned the ball over on its opening possession and was never able to recover as the host Mustangs fell to Manatee 38-7 in the regular season finale for both teams.

Both teams will be in the playoffs next week with Lakewood traveling to Seffner Armwood.

Trailing 38-0, Lakewood finally got on the scoreboard with 10:58 remaining in the game when McKenzie Hathaway scored from 4 yards out. Hathaway finished with 100 yards on the night.
