Humane Society to host 'pet food bank'

The Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch this week announced it will begin offering a once-a-month Pet Food Bank.

Starting in May, the non-profit will offer an opportunity for East County residents in need to pick up supplies for their hungry pets. The Pet Food Bank event will be hosted from 10 a.m. to noon, the first Saturday of each month in the parking lot of 2nd Chance Boutique, 6293 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota.
