A 1920s Sarasota cottage-style home located on Floyd Street was recently saved from demolition.
Rock Solid Construction Group Inc. recently coordinated the cottage’s move to a new site near Ringling College of Art and Design. The owners of the home, David Hill and Irene Fleschner, wanted to build a new house and decided to donate their house to preserve it. The home will be used as rental housing for students.
